The ESL program at RMES is a place of growth, encouragement, and opportunity as students develop their English language skills. Our program focuses on building strong communication, academic success, and confidence in every learner.

Through small group instruction, classroom support, and meaningful practice, students are given the tools they need to thrive. From developing vocabulary and comprehension to expressing ideas with confidence, we celebrate each step of their progress.

The ESL students in the ESL classroom will experience the following:

• An engaging learning environment.
• Implementing different and unique (fun) methods for building vocabulary.
• A sense of belonging and acceptance.
• Understanding their emotional needs.
• Treat each student with respect and empathy.
• When students arrive at the ESL classroom, they experience solace, they feel at ease because we are family.

Meet The Teacher

As a second language learner myself, I believe in providing a safe learning environment in my classroom. In my experience having a safe learning environment facilitated my learning.

My emphasis is to get to know each student on a different level by learning about their culture, learning the basics of their language, learning about their home country, etc., this builds a bridge upon which to learn a new language.

Students not only will learn the target language, English. They will learn about Jesus how He treated others while He lived on this earth. When He dealt with others, He treated each individual with utmost respect, as a precious creation of God.

Philippians 2:3 - "In humility, value others above yourselves."
Luke 6:31 - "Treat others the same way you want them to treat you."
Mark 10:14 - "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them."
