A Year of discovery and growth

Third Grade at RMES

Encouraging deeper thinking, spiritual growth, and personal responsibility in a Christ-centered environment.

Expanding minds. Strengthening faith.

Welcome to Third Grade at RMES

Where students take the next big steps in academic independence and spiritual understanding.

Third grade is an exciting year of transition where students move from learning to read to reading to learn. At RMES, this shift is supported through engaging instruction, biblical integration, and a strong sense of classroom community.

Students are encouraged to ask thoughtful questions, build responsibility, and embrace challenges - growing not only in academic skills, but in character and confidence through Christ.

Math Mastery. Multiplication, division, and early fractions are introduced through visual models, games, and real-world applications.
Social Studies & Science Exploration. Hands-on projects, group activities, and presentations allow students to explore God’s world in meaningful ways.
Reading for Meaning. Third graders expand vocabulary and comprehension through chapter books, research projects, and guided reading strategies.

Where Every Lesson Builds Confidence
and Character

The early years of education shape more than just school readiness—they shape identity, confidence, and a lifelong approach to learning. At Ruth Murdoch Elementary School, we recognize that what happens in these formative years lays the groundwork for how a child thinks, relates, and thrives. Here, education is more than academics. It’s the cultivation of curiosity, the strengthening of resilience, and the daily experience of being seen and supported. In classrooms filled with purpose and encouragement, students begin to understand not just what they can achieve—but who they are in Christ.
